Rising 3rd–6th Grade Camps

All 3rd & 4th Grade and 5th & 6th Grade Summer Camps are at Young Star Musical Theatre – 67 S. Dillard St., Winter Garden, FL.

Campers work inside a 5,000-square-foot facility featuring a 100-seat theatre, dedicated dance studio, and small-group acting/singing studio. Drop-off and pick-up occur via carline only.

Parent visits are available at our Info Session (May 13th, 4pm–6:30pm) or Open House (April 2nd, 4pm–7pm).

Drop off begins at 8:30 AM, though camp officially starts at 9:00 AM. This 30-minute early drop-off is included in your camp week at no additional cost. At this time, we do not offer earlier extended care.

Carline begins at 3:00 PM and ends at 3:30 PM. This 30-minute grace period for pick-up helps keep traffic flowing smoothly. Please pick up by 3:30 PM to avoid a late fee.

Late Pick-Up Fee: $10 will be charged to your account for pick-ups after 3:30 PM.

Yes. One-week camps conclude with a Friday Showcase, where students present songs, choreography, and scenes.

Two-Week Musical Theatre Intensive Camps (like Moana Jr) feature Saturday and Sunday performances, providing a fully staged production experience.

Showcase and performance tickets are sold through our box office.

Lunch & Snacks

Pack a non-perishable lunch with plenty of snacks to keep your camper fueled throughout the day (Monday–Friday). Fridays = Pizza Party! Papa John's Pizza is provided at no additional cost by YSMT. Pizza will be provided for lunch on Fridays. If your child does not want pizza, please pack an alternative meal.

Water Bottle

Bring a reusable, leak-proof water bottle, labeled with student's first and last name.

Proper Footwear

Closed-toe sneakers are required for safety. Absolutely NO sandals, jazz shoes, Crocs, Uggs, or slip-on shoes of any kind.

Comfortable Clothing

No sweatshirts, long sleeves, or jeans—they will need full range of movement! Wear non-restrictive, breathable athletic wear to allow for dancing and movement.

Hair

All hair must be pulled up and out of the face for day camp and activities. (Including boys)

Optional: Snack Money

The YSMT snack counter will be open for additional snack purchases. Snacks range from $2–$4 each.

Students rotate through engaging activities including:

• •Musical theatre (singing, dancing, acting)
• •Themed crafts and special activities
• •Organized games

The rotating schedule maintains energy, maximizes fun, and provides a well-rounded creative arts experience.

Drop-off

Last names A–N: 8:15am–8:30am. Last names M–Z: 8:30am–9:00am.

Pick-up

Last names A–N: 3:00pm–3:15pm. Last names M–Z: 3:15pm–3:30pm.

Due to City of Winter Garden ordinances, carline must not back up onto the main road. If you arrive and see that the line is starting to overflow, please loop around again or park and walk your student up to the front porch.

Students are checked in and out via an iPad system. Parents are issued 1–2 car tags for the rearview mirror.

We have a secure magnetic lockdown system that prevents unauthorized entry. For late arrivals or early pick-ups, ring the doorbell to notify staff.

Not at all! Our camps are designed for all skill levels — from first-time performers to experienced young stars. We focus on fun, confidence-building, and creativity.

Students are expected to be respectful, focused, and collaborative. Cell phones should remain put away during camp hours unless used briefly during lunch/snack time.

• •1st warning will be a verbal warning possibly a brief sit-out of participation.
• •2nd warning will be a phone call to the parent/guardian about behavior.
• •3rd warning the student may be asked to be picked up early with a private discussion at pickup.

If a camper exudes consistent disruptive or inappropriate behavior, they may be asked to disenroll from camp. Refund policy remains the same.

All refunds are at the discretion of Young Star Musical Theatre Inc. and must be discussed with all parties involved.

During Summer we follow this policy:

• •Up to 14 days before your camp session no refund can be given. Only 100% future camp or class credit.
• •Any camp cancellation before the 14 day period, refunds will be provided, less a $25 admin fee.
• •Refunds/exchanges/credit during the week of camp are at the sole discretion of YSMT.

Camp is not prorated. Whatever was taught in the day that the student missed will be re-taught to the student.

If a camper decides to end their camp session early, refunds will only be in the form of YSMT credit for a future camp or class and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

At this time after-care is only offered on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire within.

• •After-care is a fun and relaxed environment with games and activities—no new material will be taught during this time.
